About Our Jewellery

All of our jewellery pieces are carefully crafted using top quality precious metals and other natural materials such as quartz stone and natural shell. We have also created a collection of using Greek ceramic beads to add a touch of colour to some of our pieces. All of our items are hand finished here in our little workshop in Lincolnshire, England.

Sterling Silver

We use solid 925 Sterling Silver for all of our silver pieces. 925 Sterling Silver, often just referred to as sterling silver, contains 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper. The addition of these metals gives silver strength, whilst the high percentage of silver ensures its beautiful shine. Sterling silver is known for its durability, luster and being hypoallergenic (Nickle free) therefore suitable for sensitive skins, making it a favourite choice for jewellery that stands the test of time. 925 sterling silver is the purest form of silver and so offers a more luxurious piece of jewellery when compared with silver plated counter-parts. Sterling silver is however susceptible to tarnishing over time, but with the correct care can last forever.

SILVER CARE: To prolong the life of your sterling silver jewellery, wear it often as the oils in your skin will help keep your silver shining. Always remove your silver when cleaning to avoid contact with chemicals and store your jewellery out of direct sunlight in airtight containers as sunlight and oxygen can encourage tarnishing quicker (oxidising process). It is also worth making sure that when you come to wear your silver jewellery, that you put it on last after lotions, makeup and perfumes as these will speed up the tarnishing process. If necessary you can clean your silver with good old fashioned plain soap & water which are gentle enough to use.

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel jewellery is becoming increasingly popular. It is relatively inexpensive and can stand the test of time. Stainless steel is made from Chromium, Nickel and Titanium - giving it an expensive look yet also offering durability, making stainless stell jewellery pieces suitable for everyday wear.

STAINLESS STREEL CARE: Try to clean about once a month or more often if it gets dirty. Keep your pieces away from cleaning chemicals as regular exposure can cause discolouration. Store your pieces in separate compartments so they don’t rub on each other during storage to protect them from scratches and other damage caused by abrasion.

Gold Filled

Gold filled jewellery is shiny and attractive, and makes a great choice for fabulous gold pieces that are more budget friendly, yet still look luxurious like solid gold counterparts. The term “gold-filled jewellery” refers to items with a core of base metal, usually copper, brass or sterling silver, and an outer layer of solid gold. An item must contain at least 5% gold - that’s a lot more gold than you’ll find in gold-plated or gold vermeil jewellery. The gold filling technique, also known as gold bonding or gold rolling, consists of using pressure and heat to bond a solid gold layer to a core of base metal. The bond is permanent, so the gold overlay won’t peel or detach from the base metal surface. Quality gold-filled jewellery is highly durable and can last for decades with careful use. Because of the Gold layer over the base metal, Gold-filled jewellery is hypoallergenic and suitable for those with sensitive skin since the only metal touching the skin is the layer of gold. As long as the gold coating is intact, your skin shouldn’t react any differently to solid gold items.

GOLD FILLED CARE: The gold layer will wear down eventually, but to preserve gold-filled jewellery in good condition for as long as possible, keep the item away from liquids, chemicals, lotions, and friction against other surfaces. If necessary, you can clean a gold-filled item with a mild soap and water solution and dry it with a soft cloth.

Natural Shell

Some of our pieces have a natural shell element, by mixing silver tones and the warmth of natural shell we believe these make truly unique pieces of jewellery that offer something a little different to your collection. Natural shell offers durability as it will never tarnish, versatility and beauty, as well as being slightly more cost-effective when compared with precious metals.

SHELL CARE: Avoid exposing your shell pieces to harsh chemicals and household cleaners. Opt for gentle, all-natural soap and water to clean your ocean gems. Always remove your jewellery before swimming or engaging in strenuous activities to prevent damage. Shell is also sensitive to extreme temperatures, so keep away from direct sunlight when not wearing.
